How We Ship
Steel and Stone Blade Sharpening LLC. understands shipping items that are heavy can sometimes be costly. While you can’t reduce the weight due to the type of product and importance of packaging material, we strive to compare shipping providers for the best shipping option to save you money while focusing on safe and timely delivery. USPS, FedEx and UPS rates and options will be considered in your best interest. We DO NOT ship to POST OFFICE BOXES. Shipping cost is paid for by the customer when sending and receiving goods for service. Upon completion of your blade sharpening service order, you will be informed by email that your product is ready to be shipped. If you signed for additional insurance over the $100.00 carrier liability, you will be informed of the total cost. An invoice will be sent with balance due. Upon payment of the invoice, a label will be created and your product/shipment will be sent out for delivery. A tracking number will be emailed for your records.
Packaging
Careful packaging will help protect your investment. Please inspect your products for damage before shipping. Use a generous amount of packaging material to eliminate product movement. Steel and Stone Blade Sharpening LLC. is not responsible for any damage of your products due to shipping from your location. We highly recommend adding additional insurance over and above the carrier liability.
Shipping Cost
Shipping cost is paid for by the customer when sending and receiving goods for service to Steel and Stone Blade Sharpening LLC. We recommend adding additional insurance to the value of your shipment over and above the carrier liability. We also provide a SIGNATURE SPACE to SIGN/AUTHORIZE additional insurance for shipping to be ADDED to your final invoice. If the signature is left blank, additional shipping insurance will not be charged on your invoice. Lost, stolen items or damaged goods will need to be reported to the carrier and without additional insurance, you may not be reimbursed for the value of the items. Steel and Stone Blade Sharpening LLC is not responsible for the contents of the shipment. Packaging and labeling are carefully considered each and every time by Steel and Stone Blade Sharpening LLC. before they leave the business office. If the shipping carrier is unable to locate the packages, you need to file an insurance claim to cover the combined insured value of the lost packages. This requires the tracking number, proof of value of the item, and proof of insurance. We also recommend requesting a signature of your package delivery to confirm you received it. There is less of a chance of your shipment being left to its own discretion or someone taking it from its delivery location.

Lost or
Damaged Shipment
Is your package missing or damaged? We are here to help assist you in locating your item. In most cases, lost packages are usually misplaced or sent to the wrong destination. Let's start by tracking the items current status.
* Reach out to your mail provider in your location to see if it could be sitting undeliverable in a postal mail recovery center. * Raise awareness to your carrier that a package has not been delivered by showing proof of your tracking number so they can research its destination. *An online help request form will then be filled with the provider. * The shipping service provider will send periodic updates about the search. *If your package included insurance, you may be able to file an insurance claim. *Couriers will consider your package lost only after an investigation in which they will try to locate it in their depot. If the package is still missing after this process, the courier company will declare the package lost. *The process to search for a parcel and declare it lost can take up to 2 months, depending on the courier.
